For my cinematography class, we were assigned to do a film with at least using a technique known as color grading. Color grading as I have learned is using a type of software to change the overall look of a film based on the appeal of what you want your film to look like. From watching any one of my favorite films I can see that color grading can make a huge difference in playing to the audience’s appearance. It’s an artistic form that gives a certain look to a film, and I for one actually enjoy it. It’s one thing I’ve come across during the editing stages and is one of the things I have fun working with. Check out this image from my film that I did with a couple of other people in my class and you will see what I mean. But what other films have you seen that gives an artistic feel to it?
